We get it: you’ve been all Where the hell have you two been? It’s been months! Were we crying softly into each other’s arms, or scoping chinaware at Kohl’s, or perhaps dipping ourselves in baby oil? Do you even have to ask? Of course that’s where we’ve been.

Seriously, this train-sleuthing duo finally went above ground and decided to stay there for a while. Can you blame us? Strangely, and 100% appropriately, we started performing blog posts onstage in a project called Blogologues. Check it out!

We’re closing up shop at Why Are You On My Train?, at least for now. From the bottom of our train-loving hearts, we’d like to thank all of the “strangers” we met over the year and four months we maintained this vlog: from our favorite tweeters, to filmmakers, to musical prodigies, to the kids that may have graduated from college by now.

This vlog was a wonderful experience for us, proving that people can make friendships and connections in the most unlikely places. We’ve stayed in touch with a surprising number of the people we’ve interviewed.

We’d also like to thank you for your continued viewership and support. And — especially if you live in NYC — we’d like to encourage you to reach out to the person next to you on your next commute. Say hi. But not creepily. That won’t fly. Do it tactfully. Somehow. Stop asking us questions– we don’t have all the answers.

You’ll never know what the interaction might hold until to you take the leap. Kisses.

OK, not really. And anyway, this vlog is about our occupation of the subway, not our pastimes. Wait, what? Too soon to make an #OccupyTheSubway joke? And did we just hashtag a post? Yeah, we did. Deal with it.

…That was probably smart, as Alli got stampeded by humans. SERIOUSLY. But after Jen came to her rescue*, the duo saw everything in the world. Honey badgers, robots, morphs (we don’t know what that is so don’t ask), devils, vikings and good ol’ fashioned sluts. Take a look! Did you dress up? What was the best costume you saw? Did you get stampeded by humans?

Alli is obsessed with puppies. When we’re walking on the street together, I’m always like “Alli, chillax, don’t touch that.” If it were the 80s, she’d probably have a puppy calendar in her bedroom.
